History & Background

The Mampong Municipal Education Office is the district-level arm of the Ghana Education Service responsible for the supervision, administration, and coordination of basic and secondary education in the Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The office coordinates all educational institutions from Kindergarten through Senior High School across the municipality, working in close collaboration with the Ashanti Regional Education Directorate of the Ghana Education Service.

Over the decades, the Mampong Municipal Education Office has overseen tremendous growth in school enrolment, teacher development, and infrastructure improvement. The municipality is now home to over 150 schools serving more than 35,000 learners.
